Careers

Build the spine.

We're a small team building something hard. Operating systems for Indian businesses. The work is real, the timeline is years, and we'd rather take longer and get it right. If that sounds like the opposite of what you're being sold elsewhere, we'd love to meet you.

What we're building, restated for engineers.

A small, total, refinement-typed kernel that runs on an append-only event log. Views are folds; reports are projections; invariants are checked at append time. On top of that runtime, an opinionated ERP for Indian SMEs — books, GST, e-invoice, e-way, payroll, inventory — implemented as small modules in a registry, written in our DSL, generated and edited safely by AI.

The technical bet is that Indian compliance can be expressed as invariants on a kernel rather than as code in an application, and that an agent can compose those modules into a working ERP for any specific business an order of magnitude faster than a consultant could. If you find that bet interesting, we should talk.

We hire people who have shipped real things, who are particular about the details, and who would rather work with a small group on something they fully understand than be a cog in something much larger.

What we're hiring for.

Roles below are categories, not titles. Tell us what you're good at and we'll figure out where you fit.

Systems engineer
Kernel, log, view materialisation, query layer, deterministic replay, incremental computation. Care about correctness. OCaml, Rust, Haskell, or strong opinions about types. PL background a plus.
Apply →
Product engineer
The DSL, module library, agent fabric, web app, mobile, WhatsApp surface. End-to-end ownership. Comfortable from kernel up to UI. Strong taste. Tight loop with users.
Apply →
ERP / accounting lead
You know what an Indian SME's books actually look like. You have opinions about how they should look. You can translate accounting into invariants and back. CA or equivalent depth.
Apply →
Designer
Make the operator interface that Indian SMEs deserve and haven't gotten. Prose-first, dense-without-clutter, fast on slow connections, works on a phone. Editorial sensibility a plus.
Apply →
Forward-deployed
Sit with our first customers. Migrate them off Tally. Configure their modules. Train their team. Feed back what's missing. The bridge between us and the businesses we serve. Half operator, half engineer.

What we offer.

Real ownership.
Equity that vests on the schedule you'd expect. Decisions made in the room you're in. Code that ships on the timescale of days, not quarters.
Bhopal-grade comp.
Salaries that are top-of-market for Bhopal, top-quartile for metro India, plus equity. The cost of a good life here is a fraction of Bangalore. The quality of the life is not.
In-person, mostly.
We work from the Bhopal office. Three days a week minimum, most people choose more. We'll help you relocate. If you're remote and exceptional, we'll talk.
Long horizon.
We are not optimising for the next round. We're optimising for the next decade. If you want a quick exit, this is not your company. If you want to build something that lasts, it might be.

How we hire.

Send us an email. Tell us what you've built, what you've broken, what you'd want to work on. We read everything. We reply within a week, even if it's a no. If it's a yes, the process is: a long conversation, a small piece of paid real work, and a day on-site in Bhopal. No leetcode. No trick questions. No surprises.

We're particularly excited to hear from people who've been underestimated, who didn't take the obvious path, or who built something inside an SME and wished it could be better.
